A Wedding Ceremony at the Conservancy for Healing and Heritage Chapel, Franklin, WI.

I met Rosanne when she was visiting a potential venue for her wedding with her parents. I happen to be photographing a wedding there.

Since then, I have been part of the planning process; we discussed the timeline, ensuring we spent enough time at each location to get the best out of it.

Rosanne & Gimmi’s ceremony occurred at the Conservancy for Healing and Heritage Chapel. It’s a hidden gem off the beaten path in Franklin, a retreat to bond with nature. With its soaring window, the ceremony took place, overlooking a gorgeous view of the garden trees. Family and wedding party pictures took place outside in the garden. The gazebos, the garden, the bridge, and the trail path were the perfect background for gorgeous pictures of the couple.

The second location for pictures was the Formal Gardens at Frame Park,

The reception took place at the Frame Park Rotary Building and sunset pictures.

were done next to the river there.

As soon as we came back, the couples joined the dance party.

The story of Jimmi & Rosanne from the perspective of Rosanne:

It was a Saturday night at what used to be the Wherehouse Dance Club in Milwaukee, WI. Around 2015, I started learning to dance salsa at the warehouse. Since I learned, I have loved dancing to continue practicing and learning new dances. In 2017 I invited one of my closest friends, Ashley, to go out dancing! I figured it was a night out with Ashley to enjoy dancing the night away.

As I finished dancing to a song, Jimmi approached me and asked me to dance to the next salsa song the DJ was playing. He was ( and still is ) a great dancer, so I was trying my best to follow him and dance my "basic steps"(as I call them). After the song, Jimmi asked me to get a drink at the bar. The conversation flowed naturally, and I began to be intrigued by our actual conversation ( not just his amazing dance skills). He started talking about rock climbing, and I was fascinated with it. A sport that I have not done yet and one that I would be interested in trying intrigued me. We made plans the next day to go rock climbing at Adventure Rock in MKE.

From there, the story of our mutual interests and love began. Our engagement was at Devils Lake State Park. It was during the fall when it was perfect for peak fall colors. Jimmi told me to follow him off the beaten path, surrounded by trees covered in beautiful yellow leaves. He started telling me how much he loved me and why. Before I knew it, he was on one knee and proposed. I was completely caught off guard!
