An Elopement Wedding, Outdoor Ceremony, at the Geneva Inn. A weekday wedding.

Having a weekday wedding is a good option for some couples. The chances of finding a venue and other services could be higher on a weekday wedding.

Mara & Carmelo were planning an intimate, simple, small wedding on Monday at the Geneva Inn by Lake Geneva. There were no plans to have groomsmen or bridesmaids, as they were not having a reception, just a small brunch after the ceremony. However, Mara still wanted to have nice pictures to remember the day.

Mara had selected a venue and a location for her wedding that is close to her heart. She remembers that she used to come often to Lake Geneva and walk The Shore Path with her dad when she was young.

As always, when I am photographing at a venue for the first time, I come an hour earlier to scout the location and select for the perfect spots for the bridal photo session. After a small conversation with the bartender, she showed me the Shore Path around Lake Geneva form the back of Geneva Inn Hotel.

There is so much beauty around Geneva Lake that it is impossible to see everything unless you walk around the path! The path reaches up to almost 26 miles with it weaving in and out of the woods along the shoreline.

The ceremony took place outdoors at the patio. The attendees were close family members.

After the ceremony and formal family pictures, Mara & Carmelo were ready for their pictures.

We started the photo session by going down to the Marina Shore, then we took a little walk around the shore path for more pictures.

Mara & Carmelo’s wedding was light and fun for the couples, the guests and me as well.
