Maddy and Brian met at Wittenberg University. Right before Christmas break in 2015, Maddy and Brian were brought together by fate. Their good friends introduced them then mysteriously vanished, leaving the two to talk for what evolved into hours. At the end of the night, they knew they wanted to meet again. They just clicked.
On their first date, they went to see Christmas lights in downtown Springfield, Ohio and enjoyed some ice cream. Many dates later, the two became a couple, when Brian asked Maddy to be his girlfriend on January 29th.
On September 2, 2018, Maddy and Brian were enjoying the company of Brian's mom, grandma, and brother. Brien decided to surprise Maddy with the ring by hiding its box in one of the to-go cupcake boxes they went to buy from their favorite cupcake store. When they finally returned, everyone was excited to get some cupcakes. Maddy opened her cookie dough cupcake box and was surprised to see a ring box! Brian took her outside and popped the question! She said yes!
Maddy & Brian started planning for their wedding. They chose Camp Brosius, at Elkhart Lake in Wisconsin. Maddy worked at the camp in the summer for years. She loved the place so much. She & Brian thought it could be the perfect middle ground location between Ohio, where Brin’s family and Minnesota where Maddy’s family reside for the two families to come.
The couples wanted an outdoor ceremony next to the lake and they held the reception in a cathedral party tent.
The campground is glorious and full of hidden places for the bridal portrait.
After dinner, speeches and first dance. Brian & Maddy’s parents surprised the couple with a choreographed dance that was delightful.
The couples and I stepped outside for some pictures after sunset.
Brian & Maddy were wonderful, kind, and sweet. It was a pleasure to be part of their day.
